Guns N’ Roses are back, and they will headline the Rockville 2022 event.
Taking place between May 19 and May 22, Guns N’ Roses will take centre stage, with the star-studded festival also seeing Foo Fighters and Korn headline.
Having reunited after a five-year break, Guns N’ Roses will no doubt whip the crowd into a frenzy with some of their greatest hits, which includes “Sweet Child of Mine”.
And Rockville promoter Danny Wimmer admits he had to pull out all the stops to make the festival as special as possible.
A statement on Twitter read: “We knew we had to do something massive to follow the biggest Welcome to Rockville in history so we went out and got rock legends Guns N’ Roses, newly inducted Rock N’Roll Hall of Famers Foo Fighters (you wanted the best, we got the best) Kiss and DWP’s most requested band, Korn.
“We’re looking forward to breaking records at the WORLD CENTER oOF ROCK with you, see you in 2022!”
The Guns N’ Roses have packed stadiums worldwide, making it onto 175 stages, and trousering over $600 million (£446m).
Away from the touring life, the Guns N’ Roses have been just as successful off it. Merchandise has flown off the shelves, where fans can get their hands on everything, including t-shirts, mugs, and caps.
In the video game arena, they have made their mark. They appeared in Guitar Hero, where “Sweet Child of Mine” was the theme track. They’ve also diversified into the world of online casinos. There are plenty of casinos nowadays offering music-themed slots, and the Guns N’ Roses title is one of the top online slots around, and you can recreate the magic by playing it.
Rockville 2022 will be simply unmissable, as Slipknot and Offspring are some of the other bands included in the line-up.
Rockville are expecting a big turnout, with the festival’s capacity set to be increased to 40,000. It is hoped Rockville will be a party like no other after the 2020 edition was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Of the other headliners, Korn have been very busy in the studio, and they have produced their 14th album, which will come out next year.Naturally, Guns N’ Roses will be counting down the days until Rockville, but they will need to act quickly if they wish to be at the festival, as tickets will go like gold d
