5 Best Dancers
You can’t talk about the best dancers without spending the weekend binge-watching dancenetwork.tv. So after you have binged, check out the top 5 Dancers from our perspective.
1. Evan Ruggiero
Evan Ruggiero’s story is inspiring. At 5, he watched his sisters dance class and decided he too wanted to dance. With hard work, he became a star with the New Jersey Tap Ensemble. His next step would have been Broadway, had he not been diagnosed with bone cancer.
This might have ended the careers of some dancers but not Evan. He came back from his leg amputation to become a YouTube Sensation and an off-Broadway smash. Evan is a talented dancer with a huge spirit.
2. Roman Mejia
Roman Mejia was one of the fastest rising members of the New York City Ballet corps. He landed the role of Mercutio in Peter Martins’ Romeo + Juliet shortly after joining the corps. He also had soloist roles in Jerome Robbins’ Fancy Free and The Four Seasons.
Roman comes from a family of ballet dancers, so keep your eye on this compact, boyish, and skilled dancer.
3. Sophie Miklosovic
Sophie’s natural talent was honed on the competition stage in Detroit. She earned top honors at the 2015 and 2016 Youth America Grand Prix and a gold medal at the 2017 World Ballet Competition.
Her mastery of dance off the competition circuit was evident in her masterful Romeo and Juliet‘s balcony scene pas de deux. Her expert technique makes her a joy to watch.
4. Nic Gareiss
Nic combines multiple dance styles to create a memorable performance every time he takes the stage. He uses Appalachian clogging along with Irish dance to brush, bang, and engage the sounds of the floor in his performances.
On and off the stage his charm engages all he meets. He capitalized on this by taking the art of step dancing to individual homes with his show Solo Square Dance. Are you willing to share an 8′ X 8′ space with this dance superstar?
5. Maria Khoreva
Maria is another social media superstar. She has more than 345k followers on her Instagram page and her power as a dancer comes through brilliantly on the 2 d screen.
After graduation from the Vaganova Ballet Academy, she danced Terpsichore in Balanchine’s Apollo, as well as a pas de deux from Sir Frederick Ashton’s Marguerite and Armand.
This up and coming athlete is also a Nike ambassador and Bloch spokesperson. Globally, she is grabbing the attention of your audience and the dance world.
Choosing the top 5 best dancers is hard giving the quality of today’s dancers. If your favorite dancer didn’t make the list, don’t worry they will.
