Who are you and where are you from?

Lucki Starr. I’m an independent R&B/Pop singer from New Jersey. This has always been my dream and what I wanted to do, so music & entertaining always had a special place in my heart.

What inspired you to get into music?

My parents and Michael Jackson inspired me to get into music, because they all followed their hearts and accomplished their dreams.

What have you done?

I released my first single called “Make Me” as well as a music video for it, worked with Beyonce for Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” Campaign, I’ve done a couple of commercials, modelling campaigns and a few acting opportunities, but music has always been my passion & main focus.

What are you like live?

I love to put on a full performance between dancing, live vocals, and high energy. In the past, I’ve opened up for The Bomb Digz, Kalin and Myles, performed with Snoop Dogg and opened up for Big Sean, Kendrick Lamar and French Montana at the Barclay Center and performed at the US Open.

What makes you different?

I’m true to myself and make music that I not only enjoy but my supporters can also relate to. I love touching on topics that inspire and promote empowerment while having a dope beat to vibe out to, all in one song.

Physical vs Downloading vsStreaming…How do you listen to music?

For the most part I listen to music by streaming and honestly love how accessible music is because of Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, etc., but I still love buying the physical copy to save as a memory & to go through the credits, etc…

What have you been listening to?

I listen to all types of music, old school to new, but these four songs have been on repeat: “Rake it Up” by Yo Gotti ft. Nicki Minaj, “Bodak Yellow” by Cardi B, “Mi Gente” by J Balvin, and “Tone it Down” by Gucci Mane ft. Chris Brown.

What are your aspirations for the future?
