GANG OF FOUR – Staubkorn: The Dying Rays

Gang Of Four released their ninth album called What Happens Next via Membran Records earlier this year. The band have been known as one of the most influential post punk acts.since the end of 70s.
Alongside the new album, Gang Of Four issued a video for the song ‘Staubkorn: The Dying Rays’. The most unexpected point about this track is vocals by Herbert Grönemeyer, who is a popular German musician and actor. The lingering melodic track is supported by sharp guitar play of Andy Gill – the band’s founding guitarist and songwriter. A bit restrained in terms of music background, yet emotional due to Grönemeyer’s vocals, ‘The Dying Rays’ is a new, exciting step in Gang Of Four music history.
Gang Of Four founder Andy Gill had to choose new mates for this album and this choice seems to be a lucky one.
