WYLDEST – Danish Longball

Wyldest is a trio from North London whose main genre can be characterised as dream-pop. Their song ‘Danish Longball’ is a good example of this music path. Light female vocals, careful guitar and calm minimalistic noises around them drive the listener to a space full of past memories and future hopes.
‘Danish Longball’ carries a bit of a proto synth-pop sound combined with early shoegaze techniques. All these altogether lead to quite a unique atmosphere reminiscent of many influences of brightest music epochs but not simple replicas of any of them.
This single by Wyldest was released earlier this year and was followed by a London show at the Victoria in Dalston in the beginning of May.
