PLEASURE BEACH – Go

| On 01, Jul 2015

After meeting and bonding over their shared love of caffeine, in a Belfast coffee shop Pleasure Beach members Lisa, Rachel, Kat and Alan and Richard eventually came together, to begin making music in January 2015. All individually avid music writers, it was an artistic opportunity too rare to ignore.

‘Go’ is the first record taken from their double AA single, which was released on 25th May. The song is a warm and mellow ode to the 80s, bursting into modernised nostalgia as bright electronics morph from the sonic vibrations of the intro. It captures the glow of hope and expels a joyous and pure unashamed bliss, which is large enough to engulf your whole being. With lashings of jerky sprightly guitars, wistful synth intersected by occasional computerised glitches, the record eventually fades out into a saturated hum.

Having already garnered comparisons to artists such as The Naked and Famous and being deemed as a cross between Bastille and The XX, ‘Go’ is a majestic vision of Pleasure Beach’s talents.
