BETWEEN MOCKINGBIRDS – Do You

| On 20, Apr 2015

Between Mockingbirds’ ‘Do You’, is heavily inspired by college rock of the 90s and brings to mind the early work of bands such as Foo Fighters and Smashing Pumpkins.

Led by surf sounding guitar riffs the track maintains a light atmosphere throughout with cheerful melodic lines and a catchy uplifting chorus. However, the track is fuelled by angst and garners inspiration from the outcome of 2014’s Scottish referendum. Beneath an uplifting melody and bright appeal of the track lay disappointed lyrics beckoning reactions to unanswered questions ‘do you look around yourself at all?’

‘Do You’ was released by the Glaswegian four piece at the very end of last year and is available to download for free from the band’s website, and is in fact a worthy track to add to any indie inspired playlist.
