MODEST MOUSE – The Best Room

I do love a good bit of Modest Mouse and that’s exactly what this is. It’s not quite their best outing but it’s definitely up towards the higher echelons as the verses stomp around as if they’re cock of the walk, they’re definitely on top form when it comes to getting that excitement flowing through me once again.
Lyrics, as you may suspect, are once again a strength as we can all identify with noisy neighbours (I’m sure those in close living proximity to MM will vouch for the fact that those close by can be pretty rambunctious) and the band are once more about to provide the delicate balance between light and dark that can make a track behold the essence of the finest music.
‘The Best Room’ may not quite be Modest Mouse at their best but they’ll still capture your attention, and quite possibly your love, with their legions of exquisite guitars and one of the finest lead vocals in the business. It is, indeed, a banging tune.
