ROUTE 94 – Shards Of Glass

| On 31, Oct 2014

Rowan Jones aka Route 94 has been electrifying dance music in recent times, not only with smash hit ‘My Love’, but numerous underground monsters that will have graced your ears at clubs and festivals.

Smooth and deep as hell, Route 94 has conjured up yet another decent sounding track with ‘Shards of Glass’.

Shards of Glass’ is a free download (via Mixmag’s SoundCloud) and a certain addition to your iPod playlist. A very simple sounding production that starts off light and progresses into a foot mover. In what is a light bouncy house track, it also has hints of dark and melodic tendencies, something you can sink your teeth into and enjoy.

An introduced snare drum beat and a nice electronic sound builds and builds, creeping up on you as the song progresses. Its starts off quietly but keeps you interested with its dark sounding elements. The best thing about the song is the killer deep bass line which gives a massive boost in the right direction and leads you all the way through to the end of the song.

I do like other Route 94 tracks more so than ‘Shards of Glass’, but you can’t take away from this lad’s undeniable producing ability.
