Oval Space Music returns with Chapter 2 of its series of live and club shows this April. Following on from the inaugural season which featured a sell-out all-nighter with Innervisions co-founders Âme, Evian Christ’s highly anticipated Waterfall EP Launch Party and an all-star Dial Records showcase, Chapter 2 will continue with Oval Space’s mission to provide the capital with a diverse range of progressive and high-calibre line ups.
On 24th May 2014 there will be an all day / night event to mark the launch of both Chapter 2 and the much loved Oval Space summer terrace parties. The special extended club show will feature not one but two London live debuts from Ten Walls and Bob Moses. The man responsible for the stand-out hit of 2013, Gotham, the enigmatic Ten Walls aka Mario Basanov will be bringing his live show to London for the first time alongside fellow Innervisions regular Agoria and the invigorating KiNK. Joining them will be Bob Moses the Canadian duo who have recently received acclaim from RA for their brand of ‘intelligent electronica with overt house influences’, Matthew Dekay and OSM resident Fritz Zander.

On 5th June 2014 Oval Space will be welcoming the inimitable German powerhouse that is Brandt Brauer Frick with their live visual show. Best known for creating complex and wonderful live techno solely through classical instruments, the trio are pioneers in the truest sense of the word, creating a distinctive sound that playfully experiments with the the man/machine dichotomy previously explored by forefathers Kraftwerk. Live support comes from Kompakt’s Saschienne, reclusive virtuoso Johannes Brecht and OSM resident jozif.
20th June 2014 will see Oval Space batten down the hatches for Night Slugs’ 6th birthday, featuring an impressive line up headed up by label founders Bok Bok and L-Vis 1990. One of the few labels that manages to push boundaries and resist classification, Night Slugs are undoubtedly one of the ‘most pronounced voices operating in the club landscape’, with their consistently high quality output of releases and experimental collaborations. The family will be out in force to celebrate their birthday, with Kingdom and Girl Unit joining special guest Head High aka Shed. More guests TBA.

OVAL SPACE
Oval Space is a multi-use arts space in Bethnal Green, east London that combines the ambience of a warehouse loft with state of the art amenities and a forward-thinking program of events. Described by Time Out as ‘one of the most impressive things to hit London in ages’, the 5,000 square foot space has hosted club nights, classical concerts, craft beer festivals, independent film screenings, corporate events, shoots and much more since it opened in April 2012.
