The mighty Thunder roar into 2014 with DJ Sprinkles, Chez Damier, Keith Worthy and Marcellus Pittman as the four guests confirmed for their parties taking place in March, May, July and September, all within the intimate confines of Dalston’s Dance Tunnel, nominated last year for DJ Mag’s best small club.

With a penchant for bringing ‘deeply underground’ house big hitters into small spaces, Thunder have branded their name into hearts, minds and souls. With a friends and family attitude to their parties they’ve brought the likes of Gene Hunt, Rick Wilhite, DJ Nature, Rahaan, John Heckle and Mark E into the Thunder fold.  Whilst still maintaining this underground ethic, 2014 looks set to be an even bigger year when Thunder bring in some of the heavy weights of house. On the 21st March, Thunder brings Chez Damier, who set-up legendary Detroit techno club, the Music Institute, where he was resident along with Derrick May and Juan Atkins. He teamed up with Ron Trent to bring the seminal house label Prescription as well as being behind Balance records. He’s made some of the greatest house music of all time and this is a very rare opportunity to witness him in such a small space. The 16th May sees a rare London appearance from Aethetic Audio don, Detroit’s Keith Worthy, and this will be his first party in the capital since 2011.  The enigmatic DJ Sprinkles jets in from Japan on the 11th July to drop a 4 HOUR SET at Thunder. Then on Friday 12th SeptemberThunder celebrates reaching 3 years old with one of Detroit’s infamous 3 Chairs Marcellus Pittman.Thunder is about house. Think Chicago and Clink Street, Detroit and Dalston, SoHo NYC and Soho LDN. Expect records that were made in the middle of the 1980s to be played next to records that were made in the middle of last week. Think bass and basements. Think sweat, smoke and strobes.

The unmistakable sounds of THUNDER.

200 people. A basement. A smoke machine. And a red light.
