Stepping up a gear for its fifth year running, Tisno favourite Stop Making Sense announces the first headliners for a lineup that brings a whole new level of fun to Croatia, with DJs Nick Höppner, Gerd Janson, T.Williams, Leon Vynehall and Severino topping things off and a whole host of other names promising that this will be an event to remember, and there’s still more to be announced.

Delivering a unique beach party experience in a beautiful location, Stop Making Sense returns to Croatia’s picture-perfect Dalmatian Coast for its fifth year, from July 31 to August 3 2014. An essential stop on the festival-holiday calendar, Stop Making Sense provides an escape, perfectly soundtracked by carefully selected DJs and artists who really bring this event to life.

Stop Making Sense is proud to announce that Corsica Studios, London’s foremost underground club, is joining as organising partner. With Corsica’s night Trouble Vision already a firm favourite at SMS, it made perfect sense for the venue to get more involved in all aspects of the event for its fifth year. “We are delighted to welcome to the Stop Making Sense fold the undisputed number one underground dance music club in London, Corsica Studios,” says Chris Greenwood, founder of Stop Making Sense. “After a four-year presence at SMS via its night Trouble Vision, Corsica will take an active role in all aspects of the event, not least bringing to Croatia a selection of the excellent artists that it presents in London week in week out.”

Adrian Jones and Amanda Moss, Directors of Corsica Studios said: “After attending Stop Making Sense for the last few years and watching this fantastic festival develop, we are excited to become part of what we feel is Croatia’s most special and unique event. We are delighted to be joining forces with the excellent team and look forward to creating something truly incredible together. We’ll be bringing along Trouble Vision so Corsica regulars will feel right at home. But there’ll be extra sunshine. And speedboats.”

Collaborating with electronic music’s most inventive collectives, prolific and passionate promoters, world-renowned DJs and artistic personalities, Stop Making Sense combines the tranquillity of a beach paradise with the excitement of a dance music festival. At Stop Making Sense participating crews carefully select artists and DJs, curating lineups that deliver a unique and intimate experience.

Nick Höppner comes to Tisno with Warm, a diverse and talented DJ and producer with a deep understanding of house and techno. He has been involved with Ostgut Ton since its inception, enjoys a residency at Berlin’s Panorama Bar, tours the world as a DJ, and produces well-received techno for Kompact, Echocord, Brain Math, Liebe Detail, and more. Nick comes to Tisno for his second Stop Making Sense adventure – do not miss!

Running Back label co-boss and house and disco DJ’s DJ, Gerd Janson sets sail for his first trip to Stop Making Sense, bringing a heavyweight and all-encompassing knowledge and passion for electronic music. An in-demand global DJ, well-loved Robert Johnson regular, prolific music journalist, record store staffer and remixer extraordinaire, the addition of Gerd Janson to the Warm lineup is a great coup for Stop Making Sense.

One of the UK’s busiest – and hottest – exports, house evolutionary T.Williams, is coming to Croatia, and he’s bringing his very own The T.Party Movement with him. A collective merry band of like-minded souls whose re-definition of house music has seen the genre bounce back to the forefront, The T. Party Movement will bring the party to Stop Making Sense, keeping revellers bouncing all night long. T.Williams returns for his second year in a row, having rocked Croatia in 2013. His star has risen from the underground, seeing him grow from an acclaimed show on Rinse FM to a monthly In New DJs We Trust slot on BBC Radio 1. He appeared as part of Red Bull Music Academy’s New York residency in 2013, signed exclusively to PMR, the label home of Jessie Ware and Disclosure, and remixed Wretch 32, Lianne La Havas, Disclosure and more. T.Williams is back in Tisno for 2014 – and promises to bring the house down.

Having released on Brighton’s Well Rounded Housing Project, Martyn’s 3024, George Fitzgerald’s ManMakeMusic imprint, Leon Vynehall‘s house music styling is eclectic to say the least. Drawing inspiration from post punk, classical, funk, disco, soul and techno, with an injection of bass and a distinctive house sound, his productions are difficult to pin down but fire a rocket every time they appear. Leon Vynehall appears with the Aus crew. Severino is a DJ for whom the dancefloor is his lifeblood. A member of the Horse Meat Disco DJ collective, Severino Panzetta’s passion for underground house and disco cuts takes him around the world, playing to crowds who lap up every second. Lovesick is proud to present Severino.

DJ and producer Will Saul is in attendance at Stop Making Sense for his second helping of Tisno fun, bringing with him his Aus Music crew and a “deep dubdisco” approach to house an dtechno. Sub Club residents and Glasgow electronic music heavyweights Harri & Domenic are back for 2014. Hot talent and resident of London’s The Nest Kiwi is in full effect with East London party people Orlando Boom and Orlando Boom DJs. New Stop Making Sense partner Corsica Studios brings flagship night Trouble Vision along with residents Mr Solid Gold and Park Ranger.

Croatia Calling bring Croatian party starter Luka K and Zagreb face Zero to the mix, as well as Brighton and Mimi. Dalston Superstore residents Abattoir make their first trip with Anomalous DJ. Ali Tillett and Ollie Seaman bring the noise with Warm. South London’s Get Diverted make their debut, representing with Rob Aldritt. Plus there’s Rufus & Bambi, Lovesick bring Blonde Ambition and Lovesick DJs. As Stop Making Sense celebrates a landmark fifth year, 2014 is looking like being its most triumphant year.

Located in the Croatian town of Tisno, Stop Making Sense makes full use of its stunning surroundings, with stages including the beach bar, the wood stage, set among the Mediterranean pines and oak trees, and the outdoor nightclub Barbarella’s Discotheque, where the party continues until sunrise. Providing 18 hours a day of music to move you, Stop Making Sense offers house, techno and electro, funk, soul and disco, and boat parties host revellers, taking in some of the idyllic sights of the coast. Enjoy the tunes at the tiki bar, feast in the town, lounge on the beach, or simply dance in the sunshine like it’s all that matters.

Special on-site ticket and accommodation packages are available for those seeking seven nights of fun in the sun, with options ranging from £798 for two people, and packages for three and four people too. Check out http://stopmakingsense.eu/sms-tickets/ for more details.
