BLUENECK – Sirens

Blueneck is an English embodiment of post-rock with an ambient twist and gentle vocals. This North Somerset band became known after their critically acclaimed first album called Scars of the Midwest, that was released back in 2005. Previously the band toured with Cult of Luna and played with the likes of Mono. Their previous records were released on a hip experimental label Denovali. Also, their hits can be heard on some US TV programs and on HBO ads.
Recently Blueneck presented their atmospheric post-rock track ‘Sirens’ that is anticipating their album to be released in the coming year. ‘Sirens’ is a mesmerizing piece starting with intimate synthesized backgrounds , slowing down for some piano moments and then returning with an amplified guitar and more confident vocals. The chilling atmosphere of the track is combined perfectly well with the lyrics sung by Duncan Attwood in the utmost sincere manner.
Blueneck submerged the pure melancholic beauty to almost seven minutes of chronometry of this track and these are for sure exemplary minutes of beautiful and vulnerable post-rock.
