Cut Copy’s latest single – ‘Let Me Show You’ – commences with robotic and electronic effects which bleed into cosmic vocals with soaring harmonies; the vocalist sounding a bit like a drug-high Morrissey at times. The retro synth alongside echoed and layered vocals produce a combination that sounds like 80s new wave meets 90s video game music. Overall the single takes the listener back to some of the best music of the 80s and has a real nostalgic quality. Catchy and brimming with the characteristics of a brilliant era of music.
