Released on 26^th of August 2013, ‘Cold Win‘ is Ghostpoet’s new single. The track begins with interesting percussion with a touch of the robotic and emotional symphonic melody which sounds as though it would be great live featuring a cello. Emotional and poetic (true to the artist’s name), the lyrics are realism painted with the odd metaphor here and there. Ghostpoet makes heavy use of poetic devices such as rhyme, imagery, senses, repetition, assonance, etc. It feels like a cross between a song and a spoken word piece. The piece ends with what sounds like a trumpet with a siren-like effect. Very interesting indeed.
