FALLING OFF MAPS – The Redeemer

Falling Off Maps is a five-piece outfit from Nottingham, England who has been garnering some strong buzz off the back of their debut album A Seaside Town In Winter, featuring the single ‘The Redeemer’… Starting out with the warm sounds of a bare acoustic guitar progression, the drums kick in and ‘The Redeemer’ is in full effect, with an aggressive yet delicate energy that remains throughout the song. Slightly reminiscent of Death Cab For Cutie, lead vocalist Dave Wright’s lyrical delivery ties together the minimalistic yet rich organic sounds which give this tune a heavy and emotional vibe you will find hard to resist. With tasteful keys and slight electronic elements layered on top, the ensemble created by the band makes for a noteworthy new blip on your musical radar!
