If you wonder how the pop from 60s and 70s would sound like today, you can have a go at ‘Conquer The World‘ from the London-based quartet The Guilty Ones.

The single – which will be launched later this month, the 28th of July – anticipates their first EP and it promises exactly what a summer record should be: light and danceable song, slightly psychedelic just to spice things up.

The tune opens with Liv (vocals and percussion) hoarse and deep voice, accompanied by Jo- (guitarist and songwriter) riff that mimics an electronic pulsed beat. The song explodes on the refrain with all the instruments joining in and the back choir supporting the lead singer. You’ll probably find yourself humming the song or following the rhythm with your head without even realizing it.

The single was produced by Rupert Hine – who has collaborated with Stevie Nicks and Tina Turner, among the others – and  co-produced by Jo- and Alex Beitzke from The Guilty Ones, while the mastering was overlooked by Bob Ludwig (Coldplay, Paul McCartney, David Bowie, Radiohead and the Rolling Stones).

The Guilties are Liv Slania, Jo- , Manuel (drummer), Oded (keyboard and bass) and, as they state on their Facebook page, they’re ready to take the world over.
