SUMMER SIZZLER 2013 – JUNE 8TH – LONDON
aaamusic | On 24, May 2013
12 emerging acts! 9 hours! 1 stage! The International Music Community (IMC) teams up with Discovery 2 to present some of the hottest, new, emerging talent waiting to break in one .
Together we will be celebrating a day of charity awareness by supporting two great causes, Water Aid (http://www.wateraid.org/uk) and The Ocean Project (http://theoceanproject.org/). June 8th has been earmarked for World Oceans Day (http://www.worldoceansday.org) & Un***k The World Day (http://www.utwnow.org). We have strategically positioned this event to celebrate these global awareness initiatives.
There will be 12 bands performing throughout the day, an all-day BBQ, a photo ‘fun’ booth and guest speakers talking about some of the great things they are doing to contribute to the sustainability of our planet and those who inhabit it.
The Justin Wayne Show (http://www.thejustinwayneshow.com) will record and interview all of the performing bands before independently broadcasting the event in the form of a podcast.
We will be working closely with the University of Westminster Film School (http://www.westminsterfilmschool.co.uk) who will be filming the entire event. Alchemy Mastering (http://www.alchemymastering.com) will be providing CDs that will be sold for £1 (minimum Donation) with all proceeds going to the two supported charities. Finally, Festival Specs (http://www.festivalspecs.com) will be selling their stylish sunglasses with 10% of every sale being donated to War Child, their charity partner.
Co-organiser of the Summer Sizzler, Umong Shah of Discover 2, says of the event, “On June 8th we will hold a huge party with the main goal of raising awareness for some incredible causes, which are hugely important to us. We want to let the masses know, come one come all, we actually can make the world a better place. Let’s do it together.”
