Jurassic 5, Bat For Lashes, Skream, Luciano and the showcases from the labels Rush Hour and 50Weapons, among the new additions to the Sónar by Night line-up

The triumphant return of Jurassic 5, one of the legendary and most respected groups in the history of hip hop will be first up on the SonarPub stage on Saturday 15th, with Dj Nu-Mark, Cut Chemist, Chali 2Na and the rest of the original members.

Bat For Lashes is the project by the charismatic Natasha Khan, a British singer-songwriter (with Pakistani origin) of enormous talent. She will present live her most recent praised work “The Haunting Man”, a formidable collection of contemporary epic pop.

Beyond being one of the pillars of dubstep, Skream has now become a more mature musician and dj, capable of mixing (like few others), all genres of today’s dance music with a master’s touch; he’ll play between two truly heavyweights such as Justice and Laurent Garnier. Luciano, with an extensive career in some of the worlds best dj booths, is the perfect man to close Saturday night at SonarClub. Meanwhile, youngAlvin Risk will play just ahead of the Skrillex performance, the most visible face of the new revolution on U.S. dancefloors where he is one of his latest added members.

Also joining Sónar by Night, national maximalist and synthesizer magicianAlizzz, the versatile and audacious Thug Ladies djs, and Barcelona dj duo Kimberly i Clark with a moombathon set.

SonarCar will showcase some of the most important labels and major European collectives in the current landscape of electronic dance.

50Weapons, Modeselektor’s label, will introduce four of their latest signings: young Welshman Benjamin Damage, veterans Anstam andPhon.o, and one of the most promising artists in French electronica,Bambounou. The Dutch brand Rush Hour, synonymous with work of the highest quality, will present San Proper ‘live’ and a session by one of its founders, dj Antal. The musical Italian public broadcaster Radio 2advocates the modern sound of the Life and Death label, who will be landing with two of their most prominent artists at Sonar by Night:Clockwork feat. Atavism and Vaal.

In the national side, Suara, who have earned a reputation across the continent among lovers of quality techno dance music, introduce Coyu(the label founder) and Edu Imbernón. Finally, Nehuen and Cardopusher, both heads of house and techno analog flavor labelClassicworks, have been chosen to close Saturday night.
