The first time AAAmusic saw Brainfeeder’s Nosaj Thing was his astounding AV show at XOYO. Understated yet enthralling, Nosaj Thing – aka Jason Chung – mixed his trademark post-dubstep, instrument hiphop and glitchy electronica to perfection, all in front of minimalist visuals and mysterious lighting.

Then came Nosaj Thing‘s Bestival 2011 set – which AAAmusic named one of the festival highlights (despite the failure to being his planned AV show to the outdoor Red Bull stage). AAAmusic has been entranced ever since, following his release news and remixes intently.

Chung’s long-awaited new album – ‘Home’ – sees the US produces moving into more chilled, dream-like territory, similar to the direction of his label head Flying Lotus. This headline show at Village Underground (surely London’s best mid-sized venue) is unmissable. Especially considering the calibre of the support: label mate Mono/Poly (who slayed Birthdays in 2012 alongside the Tempo Clash crew), and Patchwork Pirates (including Gilles Peterson’s hombre Alex Patchwork).
