THE LOST SOULS CLUB – High Noon EP

Right from the first track ‘Romeo’ the music has a great tone: shooting, bass-rich and head-noddingly catchy. The vocals are brilliantly careless and cool. The guitars are abrupt with some soaring solos. The EP has a gritty and angsty sound to it yet it still remains very catchy. ‘Kiss Away The Sun’ features more hazily delicious guitar solos and melancholy vocals. Shoot Me Down has the electric sound of a UFO mixed with almost gothic rock’n’roll vocals. The album is nothing startlingly new: it’s fun and angsty rock’n’roll. However, it fulfils its purpose wonderfully. It’s catchy and energetic to the ears. ‘We Are All Going To Die Anyway’ is brilliantly fun considering its title. A guilty pleasure of mine.
