The UK’s number one American Roots music festival announces its return this summer!
As a tribute to the current UK Americana scene, The Maverick Festival is excited to team up with Clubhouse Records to showcase the best in British Roots music on the opening night of this year’s festival.
The Peacock Cafe Stage will host an array of UK talent in amongst the picturesque Victorian farm buildings of Easton Park Farm, deep in the idyllic Suffolk countryside.
Maverick Festival, who are celebrating their 6th anniversary this year, present an array of world class musical talent, comedy, dance, film & workshops show-casing more than forty international artists across FIVE stages, indoors and out.
Confirmed names on this year’s line up include top Canadian roots rockers THE GOOD LOVELIES, RUTH MOODY and LEEROY STAGGER, sun-soaked country rockers from California I SEE HAWKS IN LA, the Nashville outlaw PHIL LEE, the UK‘s best and brightest DANNY GEORGE WILSON, THE CARRIVICK SISTERS and HATFUL OF RAIN plus, with his unique, Pythonesque take on Americana, Suffolk‘s very own NEIL INNES with more to be announced!!!
Featuring a spacious camp site, bell tent meadow and tipi village, and a carefully selected range of delicious food stands catering to meat-eaters and vegetarians alike with pizza, paella & pasta, Mexican chili, duck pancakes & crepes, hog-roast and hand-made hamburgers, cupcakes & gourmet milk shakes, all washed down with freshly squeezed lemonade & freshly ground coffee, local Suffolk cider and a selection of award-winning regional ales, wine & lager.

Clubhouse Records is a UK based independent label specialising in Americana, Alt-Country and Roots Music. The label was founded in 2010 by a group of musicians as an artist friendly haven for all things under the broad banner of “Americana”. Incorporating a small studio in the Buckinghamshire countryside (The Clubhouse) the label acts as a crucible for releases, live events and multi media activity.

Case Hardin – Already in the studio following up the brilliant “Every Dirty Mirror” Case Hardin are set for a busy year of record releases, touring and festival appearances – powerful songwriting played by a gang of musicians right on top of their game – come a see what all the fuss is about..
The Cedars – Gutsy, authentic country blues orchestrated by one of the scene’s most charismatic female band leaders – The Cedars are described as “the sound track to a wild, liquor-fuelled hoedown” and who are we to disagree, This year’s release of “A Little Copper Still” sees them claim their rightful place at the top table.
Troubadour Rose – a band born from a fortuitous meeting. The result? a strange and thrilling mix; Smokey mountain harmonies, Irish Sessions and bold, sumptuous melodies leaving you all set for the unraveling and longing for more.
Mad Staring Eyes – a rich tapestry of folk and Americana styling drawn from a love of The Band, Fairport, Van Morrison and Springsteen the group offer a distinctive slant on the conventional roots repertoire coming across like a cockney Carter Family throwing you into a vibrant, earthy folkster world.
Paul McClure – former front man of Leicester’s The Hi and Lo, Paul has struck out on his own for the New Year. Expect sharp wit and stunning observations amongst well crafted songs in the classic singer/songwriter style.
