Circle II Circle – Seasons Will Fall

Seasons will fall is the new album by Circle II Circle. This album is very much in the heavy rock genre, with some elements of metal.
On first listening to this album, there are very different elements that are reminiscent of artists of the genre, but as you get further and further in, you hear the true value of the music; very unique and well-constructed. The vocals are not overpowering and have a quaint melodic charm to them. Resting on the harmony of the instruments, the vocals help create this rich texture that weaves throughout the album. The instruments are standard to the genre, but have been used rather effectively to achieve new sounds and musical interest. The counter-melodies that ornament the guitar parts effectively support the vocals and in some parts, provide interesting solo parts when the vocals are absent. The drums are used in an effective manner, nothing too strong as to overpower the overlying music, but more to provide much needed structure, rhythm and general musical interest.
Overall, this is a very good album that has many good tracks that have much sought after replay value. The catchy melodies would appeal to fans of the genre and possibly even those whom may not often listen to this style.
