ONWARD CHARIOTS - This Is My Confession
Brooklyn Onward Chariots play dance, indie, rock and garage which is inspired by previous decades. They’re lovers of Beck, The Beach Boys, The Shins and The Decemberists. Four years ago their songs started to become well known throughout the world.

Their debut concept album This Is My Confession was released on 29th January, 2013 on the Skipping Stones label. Group members are Ben Morss (vocals, guitar, songwriting) and Shawn Setaro (guitars).

An orchestral and celestial Opening evolves into the catchy garage rock of This Is My Confession I. Playful Mel Gibson, a warm and summery tribute to the well known actor, is lively fun. Party song I Want Everything curiously combines dance, punk and garage rock whilst How Could I has a simple charm. Electro disco song Get Me Out Of This Party is probably a number that will bring back memories for most music fans.

Versatile Onwards Chariots are both thoughtful and cheesy, lush and minimalistic. There are some clever arrangements, intricate melodies, marvellous harmonies, and great guitar work. Their theatrical and vaudevillian style attempts an ambitious rock opera, but they possibly never quite achieve what they set out to do.
