Hannah Boleyn – When You’re Gone

My first thought is that the vocals and lyrics make the artist seem a bit like an Amy Winehouse wannabe. The problem is it doesn’t stand out. The vocals are decent but the instrumental is weak and dull. The lyrics sound like they have been written a million times before. It’s virtually impossible to write anything that has not been done before, but the point is to make a theme that has been done interesting and fresh. This does not achieve that. There is nothing dreadful about the song, it’s professionally put together and the vocals are average. It just feels a bit last and falls flat. It’ll have left my mind very soon.
