Minnesota country and western singer songwriter Jenn Bostic went to Berklee School of Music and later moved to Nashville. Her father taught her folk songs like Sunny Side of the Street and introduced her to Emmylou Harris and Bonnie Raitt.

Her debut single Jealous Of The Angels, released on 17th December, 2012, is taken from her second album Jealous on the Absolute label. Produced by Barrett Yeretsian, it’s now had over one million views on You Tube and this year it won five Independent Country Music Association Awards: Overall Winner, Best Female Country Artist, Best Musician, Best Songwriter and Country Music Song of the Year.

Jenn’s touching and beautiful song is inspired by the sudden and tragic loss of her father who died in a road accident. She sings: “God must need another angel/Around the throne tonight. Your love lives on inside of me/And I will hold on tight.” It’s likely to become a particularly special song for those who’ve experienced a similarly upsetting loss of a loved one.
