‘Changes’ is the new single release from Jack Savoretti. Its genre could happily sit in rock or soft/indie rock.
The vocals are soft and warm, with a lot of interest that have been use to convey a very clear and charming style; it’s very enrapturing. The instrumental that supports the vocals is very simple, a strong piano that is very chordal in its instrumentation and an acoustic guitar which is strummed in a way that provides rhythmic interest as well as melodic. Together, these all blend to create a very rich and sumptuous harmony that isn’t vastly complex, but does the job exceedingly well. The drums are light and keep the rhythm going very well when used.
Overall, this is a charming single that has a lot of value to listen to time and time again. Very easy to listen to on the move, or just at home when relaxing.
