‘The Ambient Zone’ is another compilation by Just Music Café. This album is very much in the chillout style.
The musical ideas are very calming and relaxing, as well as being rather intricate and interesting. Not much is there in terms of harmony, but this helps to create the calming atmosphere which is so intrinsic to the style. Nothing is overpowering, it is balanced and well put together. The transitions between pieces are very well done, it is easy to lose track of things and just go with the flow of the music.
Overall, this album is very well put together. The melodies and harmonies are intriguing and beautiful. Very calming and settling, which would help to bring down most stressed moods.
