Blues and jazz artist Katie Melua, British singer songwriter, became the UK’s best selling female artist in 2006. Her first album, Call off the Search, reached the top of the UK charts.

Her single Forgetting All My Troubles is taken from her fifth studio album, Secret Symphony, recorded at Air Studios London in collaboration with orchestrator and conductor Mike Batt. The album is mainly other peoples songs but this single is her own composition.

Katie’s fine song is about hope and the ability of love to shine light into a dark place to warm a frozen heart. She has a soft, simple and joyful voice which is immediately recognisable and adored by many. This classically inspired orchestral collaboration seems to improve with every listen.
