Alternative folk rock artist Will Miles is a London based musician who sings, arranges and plays guitars.

His début double A side single Shallow Water / Angela is released on the 26th November, 2012 via grass roots label Wildheart Records. It’s available as a limited run CD with a handmade sleeve and co-produced with bassist and pianist Sean Douglas.

Shallow Water is inspired Americana with a gritty edgy and foot tapping rhythm. The slide guitars and lyrics are reminiscent Van Morrison, Neil Young and Bob Dylan. Will says: “It’s about awakening a deep personal salvation where everything that was killing you fades and then sets you free.”

Angela is a beautiful and emotional ballad which warms with its haunting harmonica and mandolin. Will says: “The track is about solace, a long and lonely epic pilgrimage to lost love and a memorial to the dead.”

Clearly Will has his critics, but to me he has a bluesy, laid back and confident style with a spark of personal magic.
