Icon Bryan Ferry, CBE, has usually made music which makes you feel like time travelling into the future. As an English musician and songwriter he’s had three number one albums and ten singles in the top ten. He was the creator of the legendary Roxy Music.
In his latest album The Jazz Age, out on 26th November, 2012 on the BMG label, he has re released of some of his well known songs as 1920s instrumental jazz numbers. It celebrates the 40th anniversary of his career as a solo artist.
The ‘roaring twenties’ was a prosperous era with creative, inspiring and innovative music. Bryan captures this intoxicating time of change, decadence and excitement and makes it timeless. You can easily imagine listening to his album at a Scott Fitzgerald party, chatting to musicians of the time about art and culture.
