Just Music Café Vol. 3 Poolside beats is a compilation album. It’s quite hard to give this album a particular genre, though there are elements of minimalism.
The melodies sort of blend in throughout this compilation, though as a DJ Set, that’s no doubt the intended effect. The harmonies within this album vary from track to track, but there is no overall complex use of harmony; it’s rather (yet effectively) simple. Use of strange sounds creates a unique, albeit relaxing, playlist that is remarkably enjoyable to listen to. The different rhythms that are played at a slow pace help to slow down the pace of things, which in turn help to create a calming atmosphere. The drums that are used are used to keep a strong pulse that helps to hold up the music above.
Overall, it does achieve its purpose of creating a relaxing playlist that would be suitable for many public areas (such as coffee houses or cafés), or at the home where you can sit and relax while it plays in the background, possibly while you are reading or doing chores.
