As a London based acoustic guitarist and singer-songwriter, Luke Ritchie has played with artists like The Golden Retrievers and acclaimed folk singer Hannah Peel . His rich, passionate folk and blues style is compared with John Martyn and Paul Brady.

His single Butterfly, taken from his debut album The Water’s Edge, is released on 11th November, 2012. The Water’s Edge is a fine and intricate album skilfully crafted over two years of dedication and determination. It’s strong, polished and accessible.

Butterfly is a fast paced, yet tender and gentle song, both soulful and rocky. Like the joyful, beautiful winged animal of the same name, it will probably inspire as it migrates over long distances, bouncing with energy . Hopefully it’s colourful charm will not be short lived.
