‘It’s Like Love’ is the debut (UK) single from Australian singer-songwriter Dewayne Everettsmith – a collaboration with viola player Jasmine Beans that has soundtracked Australia’s tourism marketing campaign.

It’s a slice of clean, pop-folk balladry, with slow burning acoustic strumming and soaring vocals. It’s all a bit safe, but the primary melody and viola accompaniment elevate this standard melancholic singer-songwriter fodder to something memorable. And Everettsmith’s classic sounding vocals are stronger and more soulful than most British pop-folk artists.
