Songs for Searchers is the new album by Andrew James O’Brien. Upon listening, this album seems to be of the light rock genre, though there are some other influences within the tracks themselves.

The vocalist has a very soothing and unique voice, which seems to convey a wide range of emotions with very little effort. The instrumentals are quite simple, but the harmony they create (especially the use of vocal harmony with the backers) helps to create a much broader feel which makes the tracks feel more solid and secure. The use of acoustic guitar is quite prominent in the tracks, which is quite soft and gentle, creating an airy feel which is reassuring. The drums are quite mellow and keep the beat quite well without taking from the rest of the music, as well as the other percussion that has been used in the tracks.

Overall, this is a very pleasant album which is very relaxing and enjoyable to listen to.
