Black Market Red Roses is the new single by Luke White. This track has some elements of rock, but is probably closer to an ‘indie’ genre.

The overall song is quite slow and not very fast paced; allowing for the listener to relax. The drums help to reinforce a steady rhythm which prevents the song from becoming completely lost within the leisurely mood. The vocals aren’t overly strong, but provide enough support to create an interesting melody and contrast to the backing instruments’ harmony. There isn’t a lot of background instrumentation, making this piece very thin, but this adds to the dreamy and relaxing feel; if it were thicker it would potentially ruin the feel.

Overall the leisurely feel, vocals which support a thin but well-structured backing and steady drum line help create a good track which has a very reasonable replay value in many situations.
