Grizzly Bear – Yet Again

Premiered in UK on BBC1, here comes another track from the forthcoming Grizzly Bear’s album Shields. It’s been three years from the magic of Veckatimest, which projected the Brooklin-based four-piece into stardom. Yet Again confirms the talent for melodies of Droste & Co., but gives more breath to Grizzly Bear’s sound, with its guitaristic explosions and the desert-rock atmospheres.
In the middle between Other Lives and The Walkmen, Yet Again increases the already high expectations for the band’s fifth album which were created by the first song, Sleeping Ute, released in June. Set aside the intriguing experiment of the Department of Eagles and Daniel Rossen’s solo EP, the big thing is just around the corners, in an Autumn which suits best the Radiohead-esque landscapes drawn by this magnificent ensemble.
Shields will be released on 18th September via Warp. Yet Again will be track no.4 in the ten songs’ new work.
