August 11th & 12th sees the inaugural outing of StageTime, a two-day convention and training event for bands, musicians, managers and solo artists who are interested in learning more about the art of live performance.
With the massive, all-encompassing changes that have taken place in the recording industry over the last decade, live performance is more crucial than ever for artists who want to effectively connect with their audience to create long-lasting and sustainable careers. From cultivating loyal and engaged fan bases, to developing alternate revenue streams, getting the live performance right can make or break the career of not only emerging bands, but established acts as well.
Held at the heart of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, StageTime is a two-day convention and training event for bands, musicians, managers and solo artists to explore these issues.
The StageTime convention comprises of two parts: Saturday 11th August sees a series of bootcamp-style training seminars lead by top UK industry organisations, including the Music Managers Forum, The Musicians Union, and the UK’s biggest music business news service, CMU Daily. Sunday 12th August examines key elements of live performance through a series of panels bringing together a wide range of music experts and practitioners from all sectors of the live music industry, all keen to share their expertise and experience with participants.
Held at Edinburgh’s stunning Carlton Hotel, StageTime is presented in association with BandWagon, the UK’s leading platform for bands to find and book gigs, and, thanks to the generous support of Tiger Beer StageTime is able to make a limited number of early bird tickets available for each day, priced at just £12.50 per day, or £25 for the weekend.
Earlybird tickets can be booked via ticketing partners Eventbrite, at http://stagetimeuk.eventbrite.co.uk
