HOLY OTHER

Releases title track from debut LP, listen here: http://soundcloud.com/tri_angle_records/holy-other-held

Announces UK headline tour and supports with Beach House, Amon Tobin

Debut LP “Held” released August 27th on Tri Angle

‘Something vastly different: voluptuous, gorgeous, delightfully enveloping” – The Wire

It’s a strangely affecting synthesis of sounds and marks Holy Other’s short debut out as a darkly oppressive but ultimately rewarding piece of work.” – Pitchfork

Ghostly, warm vapour pop” – FACT

Come August, Holy Other will be releasing his long awaited debut LP “Held” on Tri Angle – a beautifully compelling record quite unlike any other, a lush and deeply emotive blend of R&B, UK garage, house and even Gregorian chants which is haunting as it is moving, mysterious as it is engaging.

Now, following on from the unveiling of taster track “Love Some1” earlier this year, he is launching the seductive title track of the album, a gorgeous dark bloom of a song, and one which chooses to reveal its myriad pleasures and mysteries slowly and unhurriedly, in the course of 6 minutes. The later half of the year will also see Holy Other very busy on the live front. Coming up in August will be his first  proper headline tour of the UK (with support from Tri Angle compatriot Vessel and Not Not Fun’s Fort Romeau), followed by shows in the US with cult electronic producer Amon Tobin in September and a tour of Europe and the UK with acclaimed Baltimore duo Beach House in October and November.
