SELFRIDGES ‘NINJA GIG’ FOOTAGE LONDON SHOW TOMORROW!

| On 05, Jul 2012

They’ve performed an opera at the Royal Albert Hall, taken choral singing to another level on Jools Holland with My Morning Jacket, been temporarily banned from Reading Festival and worn more than a few flamboyant costumes but finally, Gaggle have released their long-awaited debut album ‘From the Mouth of the Cave’ on Transgressive Records!

To coincide with last Monday’s release, the 21-piece alt-choir played a set at Rough Trade East and have also been staging pop-up “ninja gigs” around London ranging from surprising commuters in St Pancras to scaring dogs in Westminster and – most recently – raising eyebrows in Selfridges on Friday evening.

Filmed by Southampton-based film-maker Jay Wennington, you can now watch Gaggle perform in the famous department store and discuss the reasons behind this particular “ninja gig” below:

To celebrate the release of ‘From the Mouth of the Cave’, all 21 members of Gaggle will be playing an album launch show at London’s suitably cave-like Village Underground tomorrow evening, Wednesday July 4th.

Support comes from Charlotte Hatherley’s new project Sylver Tongue and the debut London show from AE EA, the new performance project by Dario Vigorito ( 241-24-7 / Chris Cunningham Live) and Martin Tomlinson (Selfish C*nt).
