London quartet The Lightwings bring a taster of their addictively catchy ‘Beatpop’ music to the masses with the release of their debut single Who Pulled the Trigger?, a three minute gem that’s so upbeat and energetic that it’s hard to stay still when listening. James and Luke beautifully blend the gritty rhythm guitar alongside the cutting sound of the lead to accompany the harmonies of the entire band, which themselves sound effortless. Memorable hooks prevail throughout and with this band it really is a case of love at first listen – no messing around trying to hear the catchy bits, they’re all there on display – the song is fun, bold, and not afraid of dragging you straight in to show what it’s got to offer.
