Belfast band, A Plastic Rose, release their single, Boy Racer, on the 18th of June – And boy is it a punchy track! Recommended for fans of Biffy Clyro and Twin Atlantic, the song begins with heavy and grimy yet soaring guitar. It’s a very catchy song, what with the powerful and accented vocals mixed with the prominent guitar and vocal harmonies.

The lyrics are pretty average, nothing to shout about but certainly not bad. Still, it doesn’t really matter with this track, the hard-hitting guitar and vocals do the talking! The chorus is gorgeously heavy and will be playing in your head all day. It had me hitting repeat an awful lot. Certainly worth a listen, it’s surprisingly likable!
