Iron Maiden – En vivo Blu Ray

The Irons were releasing concert videos way before many metal bands, and they also released them regularly too, so when transition to dvd came along and the growing trend of releasing a music dvd as with everything else they do they set the trend in presentation and content for your money.
Everything you would expect from a maiden dvd/blu-ray is here you have a full length concert a close to an hour and a half documentary and a few little extras added in.
The concert is brilliantly filmed, its crystal clear, shot from all different angles (you see a lot more of Nicko behind the drum kit then usual as-well), perfect sound in sync with the picture (a flaw seen all too often with music dvd’s that and obvious overdubs.) The set-list covers all bases of the bands catalogue leaning slightly towards material from 2000 onwards which is a nice even touch following their last dvd release flight 666 which concentrated on their classic stuff.
The documentary focus mainly on the trials, tribulations and rewards of being on the Maidens road crew and what goes on during a world tour with the band. Which is entertaining but not for everyone. Also in the extras you see the full video for “The Final Frontier” the making of that video and a video of the introduction that came on the monitors your opening every show on the said tour.
All in all a great addition to your Maiden collection if your already a fan and a great place to start
