Bluebell have already earned themselves some warranted comparisons to the likes of Imogen Heap, La Roux and Regina Spektor, but this AA single shows they really are a duo of their own. Did I mention it’s their debut too?

The performing roles of Charlie and Annabel are simply producer and vocalist respectively. As a result, both know their jobs inside out and create wonderful electro-pop that converts to some quality contemporary music.

A colossal sounding synthesizer drives ‘Cinderella’ from pulse to sawtooth and blends brilliantly with the intriguing melody made possible by Annabel’s voice that often defies the imagination. With its driving rhythm and euphoric chorus, this Disney themed track has more than enough potential to shake dance floors.

‘Normal Heights’ on the other hand has already been floating around the Internet for a year, garnering all the right attention. This is an emotional onslaught of power pop where previous comparisons of Imogen Heap are more apparent than ever. Up and down the escalator, Annabel’s voice seemingly meets every end of the spectrum as the delays, echoes and all-out wonders of production does the extra justice.
