Brand new Riverboat Gamblers album out in July

| On 09, Jun 2012

Texan punk rockers the Riverboat Gamblers are joining the Xtra Mile Recordings family to release their new album ‘The Wolf You Feed’ in the UK and Europe on 9th July 2012.

This is the sixth studio album from the prolific quintet of frontman Mike Wiebe, guitarists Fadi el-Assad and Ian MacDougall, bassist Rob Marchant and drummer Sam Keir and the first on Xtra Mile Recordings. Speaking of the new partnership Wiebe says:

“The Riverboat Gamblers are proud to announce that we have dipped a feather in ink and signed with the UK based label Xtra Mile. The dark sounds of ‘The Wolf You Feed’ will be washing up upon the shores across the Atlantic in June. We are quite proud to be a part of the impressive roster and hope to spend much more time overseas delivering the greatest cultural exchange we have to offer in our loud loud musics.”

Teaming up with Grammy-Award winning engineer Stuart Sikes (The White Stripes, Cat Power) they set out to create a darker record. The album features contributions from Mark Ryan (Marked Men, Mind Spiders) and Sean Kirkpatrick (The Paper Chase) each of whom help the band expand their sound even further.

The album release coincides with a few dates in Germany supporting punk heavyweights Flogging Molly.
