L.M.C @ The Garage

| On 28, May 2012

London, 23rd May

L.M.C are one of Japan’s hottest exports and there is quite a queue outside the venue waiting to get in as I arrive. They are cherry punk pop mixed with a bit of metal and they have lollipops and sparkly jump suits covered in buttons which is sported by the dynamic duo of the band Maya and Aiji. They have a dancer Denkiman in a skeleton mask that dances around like a nutter on acid. They play loads of new material from their new album ‘Strong Pop’ plus old hits ‘Oh my Juliet, Boys and Girls as well as Punky Heart’ which is requested by a girl in the front row. This band have gone a long way in the last few years mixing punk with pop with metal and they can play everything perfectly and in their fashion. Aiji is playing tonight a flame covered guitar and hits it with frantic clash like motions while Maya prances about and checks his make up at the back at the stage every five minutes. They have grown in popularity but they are missing tonight some of their usual theatrics which is a shame but they still put on a great show which is enjoyed by every young girl in the crowd tonight who have been jumping up and down and screaming. They end on a massive high with ‘Rock! Rock! the L.M.C’ which is an amazing band anthem of turmoil and craziness.
