After a taste of success featuring on the No.1 hit single with DJ Fresh ‘Hot Right Now’, Roc Nation / Columbia Records sensation Rita Ora is celebrating once again as her debut UK single ‘R.I.P’ storms straight into the UK charts at No.1.  Officially one of the fastest selling singles of 2012 the No.1 position with ‘R.I.P’ also means Rita is the first artist to have two No.1 records in the UK this year.

 

The perfect combination of Rita’s stunning vocal mixed with ‘R.I.P’’s roll call of writer and producers has created a smash hit for the Kosovan-born star in the making.  Written by Young Money superstar Drake, produced by dubstep lords Chase & Status and pop powerhouse duo Stargate and featuring the Prince of UK hip hop Tinie Tempah, ‘R.I.P’ is currently the hottest single in the UK.

 

Earlier this week Rita celebrated the release of ‘R.I.P’ at London’s exclusive jewellers Asprey and was joined by Pixie Geldof, Harry Potter actress Bonnie Wright, Twilight’s Jamie Campbell-Bower and was presented with a beautiful bouquet of flowers from Tinie Tempah himself.  Also in attendance were the London Ambassadors of Kosovo and Albania to toast to Rita’s success.

 

‘R.I.P’ has had phenomenal support from the UK media with A Lists across major radio stations from Radio 1, 1Xtra, Choice, Capital and Kiss.  Rita also performed for the legendary Jools Holland on his BBC2 Later with Jools Holland show to a rapturous reception.

 

Live Rita is pairing up with DJ Fresh once again to support him on his UK tour which she will follow up by joining rock giants Coldplay on their European tour this summer as well as hitting the line up for some of the UK’s biggest festivals – T in the Park and Lovebox.  Fans will be able to see Rita perform live No.1 singles ‘Hot Right Now’, ‘R.I.P’ and her new single ‘HOW WE DO (Party)’.
