Singer Gabrielle Froden is a London based alternative indie artist, author and songwriter from Norrkoping in Sweden. She’s part of the folk and gospel duo Foreign Slippers.

It All Starts Now is released on May 14^th, 2012 by Adventures In Gramophone. The simple, enchanting drawing on the album cover suggests the beginnings of a children’s story about birds.

It All Starts Now is a softly sung acoustic number which is surprisingly transformed by an uplifting and powerful chorus. It’s taken from the forthcoming debut album entitled Farewell To The Old Ghosts, released on June 25th through Adventures in Gramophone. Take It On The Chin is another hopeful, cheerful and optimistic song. Gabrielle’s charming and captivating voice can be heard in Green Jacket. The Winner Takes It All is their version of the sad, haunting and bitter-sweet Abba classic.

Fans consider her voice to be unique and bewitching and feel her musical achievements are magical and enigmatic. Certainly she sings soulful, warm and intelligent songs which are quite tense. Gabrielle says she ‘always loved the sound my boots made when I walked in the snow’.  Her musical style is a bit like a snowy landscape.  It’s real, fresh and familiar.
