The Used are hear tonight to promote their new album Vulnerable and it’s another gig for £1 when you buy the new album from Banquet Records what a bargain. Only half the band Bert and Quinn do the live acoustic set while the rest of the band look on from the side of the stage, which is a little bit of a shame. All the band do make the signing session later thou. It’s a nice chilled out performance and the security actually have been good tonight going with the vibe of the night. They open with the ‘Tunnel’ which goes down well with harmonies and Quinn strumming on his acoustic guitar before they play a great new version of ‘Lunacy Fringe’ which brings on a sing-a-long and Bert hiding behind his glasses and hood. He looks into the crowd and see’s a sign saying ‘Blue and Yellow’ and then he announces this one is for the girls in the crowd who made the sign. We are then delivered a beautiful version of ‘Blue and Yellow’ that can only be topped by set closer ‘On my Own’ this is a great experience that you don’t have very often from a band that normally plays a live rawkus set and is far happier in the live guitar situation. The que for the signing session is really long but it’s worth the wait with the band being really friendly and signing anything you wanted. Bert just gets a bit annoyed when he is followed into the toilet by fans, their is a thing called privacy and people have to know when to not step over the line.
