Billy Vincent is a London rock, folk and country quintet. Their EPs King Island Coyote and Once On The Grand Union were much praised, with influences varying from Springsteen to Dylan.
Billy Vincent comprises: Billy Barratt & David Vincent (vocals, guitars), Joseph Kinsey (bass, harmonica, vocals), Matt Woodward (fiddle, vocals) and Jack Blenkinsop (drums, vocals).
They release their debut album She on May 7th, 2012 on Something Nothing Records. It’s soulful, casual and accessible.
In passionate opener Dead Man’s Shoes Americana merges warmly with a clear and distinctive English voice. The Wayward Fall In Line is a lively and confident song and inspired acoustic number Feathers is intensely expressive. Pirates is another fast moving song with seafaring imagery.
Billy Vincent is a talented and energetic band with a variety of styles and atmospheric harmonies. They’re inventive and observant in the vivid pictures of human nature they create. These are entertaining artists with a great deal of character and a promising debut album.
